Description

Watched by an official, a woman munitions worker at the London & North Eastern Railway's Doncaster Works demonstrates the machinery to Queen Elizabeth, (later the Queen Mother). The visit was probably made on 29 October 1941 when the King and Queen made a four-day tour of North Yorkshire and Lancashire.
