The Prime Minister, Winston Churchill inspects the American Motorised Squadron of Home Guards on Horse Guards Parade. He is accompanied by his wife, Clem. Churchill (1874-1965) became Prime Minister in 1940, and led Britain during World War II. He worked constantly, and was famous for his determination and inspiring speeches.
