A jar of Rosazeine Scarlet G manufactured by Farbwerke vormals Meister, Lucius & BrUning of HOchst-am-Main, Germany. Meister, Lucius & BrUning was founded in 1863 as Meister & Lucius; Adolf BrUning became a partner in 1867. It became a limited company in 1880 and was generally known as Farbwerke Hoechst. Joined I.G. Farbenindustrie AG in 1925 and was refounded in 1953 as Farbwerke Hoechst AG. Part of a collection of late nineteenth and early twentieth century colorants transferred from the Colour Museum, Bradford, in 1985.
