A jar of Pyramine Orange RR manufactured by Badische Aniln und Soda Fabrik (BASF). The Badische Anilin und Soda Fabrik was founded in Mannheim in 1865 but soon moved to Ludwigshafen on the other bank of the Rhine. It became I.G. Farbenindustrie AG in 1925 and was refounded as Badische Anilin & Soda Fabrik in 1952. Part of a collection of late nineteenth and early twentieth century colorants transferred from the Colour Museum, Bradford, in 1985.
