Cavendish type eudiometer, English, 1861-1872.

Description

A eudiometer is an instrument used to measure and analyse gases and air purity. In its graduated glass tube, mixtures of gases can be made to react by an electric spark, used to measure changes in volume during chemical reactions. This example was made in London by William Ladd (active 1839-1872).
