Model (scale1:72) representing an 18th-century British landscape; in the foreground is a charcoal burning factory or possibly an ironworks. Behind, coal is unloaded from wagons onto canal barges at a staithe. The model also shows other typical elements of industry and agriculture of the time; windmill, wooden railway, farm buildings, navigation, a lock, tanning, and other buildings.
