Royal Albert Bridge at Saltash over the river Tamar, next to the road bridge, Cornwall, by Lynn Patrick, 1996. The bridge was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel after an Act of Parliament in 1846 appointed him head of the Cornwall Railway company. This was one of Brunel's last projects before he died and the bridge was opened in 1859, shortly before his death. The concrete suspension bridge alongside was completed in 1961.
