Prince Monolulu (1881-1965) was a popular figure at British racecourses in the 1930s and 1940s. Born Peter Carl Mackay in British Guiana (Guyana), Prince Monolulu tried his hand at various occupations - including boxing in France, fortune telling in France and opera in Russia - before entering British public life as a showman and tipster at the races.
