A reproduction of a colour photograph of Kingsway in London, taken by an unknown photographer and published in a book entitled 'London In Colour Photography', produced by The Photochrom Company, Limited, London in about 1914. Horse-drawn buses can be seen in the foreground, with the Gaiety Theatre on the right. The Photochrom process was a form of photolithographic colour printing developed around 1900. The process was used widely to produce scenic and tourist views and for reproductions in art books.
