Medal for the Nobel Prize for Physics, awarded to British physicist George Paget Thomson (1892-1975) in 1937. The design shows the muses of nature and science and a plaque to Thomson. The prize was awarded by the Nobel Institute, Stockholm, Sweden, and shared by Thomson with Clinton Joseph Davisson USA, 'for their experimental discovery of the diffraction of electrons by crystals'.
