Tobacco and nicotine free herbal cigarettes with an Oriental design packet, made by Honeyrose Products Ltd, Stowmarket, Suffolk. Medical research, which linked tobacco smoking with a lengthening list of health hazards including lung cancer and heart disease, led to active measures to reduce cigarette use. Manufacturers responded to anti-smoking measures by offering reduced tar cigarettes and restrictions on tobacco advertising in the UK led to alternative marketing methods such as sending free gifts to smokers.
