Description
Liverpool FC manager Bob Paisley (1919-1996) pretending to paint a seat in the stands at Anfield, Liverpool Football Club's ground, to mark the beginning of Crown Paint as the football club's shirt sponsor. Bob Paisley was on the coaching staff at Liverpool FC during Bill Shankly's (1913-1981) reign as manager before succeeding him as manager in 1974. Paisley reign as a manager (1974-1983) was the most successful in British football history, winning 3 European cups, 6 league championships, 3 league cups and 1 UEFA cup. Crown Paints were Liverpool FC's first shirt sponsors.
