Description
A photograph of children climbing a wall, taken by George Davison [1854-1930] in 1888. A chain of four young boys clamber up a wall to peer into a garden. Two other children look on. This photograph was shown in the 1888 Society of India Exhibition. George Davison was a noted pictorial photographer and a founder member of The Linked Ring in 1892. In 1897 he became assistant manager of the Eastman Photographic Materials Company, renamed in 1898, Kodak Limited. He became managing director in 1900.
