'Several lakhs of Hindu pilgrims attend the Kistna Pushkaram Festival at Bezwada, Andhra Province, which takes place once every 12 years. On this occassion the water of the nine sacred rivers of India are combined in the Kistna River. Special significance is attached to a bath in the Holy River at this time. Photograph shows pilgrims taking their bath at the holy river during the festival.'
