Description

Etching by George Sala taken from the 'Great Exhibition 'Wot is to Be', a satirical look at the forthcoming Great Exhibition of 1851. Included in the depictions of the press at the Great Exhibition are 'the Thunderer with its distorting glass for foreign politics, and its clockface warranted to keep any time', a portrait of Henry Mayhew and caricatures of the Illustrated News and The Sunday Times.
