Etching by George Sala taken from the 'Great Exhibition 'Wot is to Be', a satirical look at the forthcoming Great Exhibition of 1851. Suggested as miscellaneous arts and manufacturers are 'illustrations of the manufacture of milk in the metropolis' and 'a sample of horse's brains for the best kind of cream'. the bottom half of the image illustrates 'household articles' including 'a model housemaid, monthly nurse and charwoman'.
