Drawing by J Gilfoy of a design for a horse-drawn carriage produced by the coachbuilders Hooper & Co. The firm was established in 1807 in Haymarket, London, were awarded their first Royal patronage in 1830, and gained a reputation for unrivalled quality and craftsmanship. In the 20th century they switched to building coachwork for motor cars, and are probably best known for their association with Rolls-Royce.
