Small wooden medicine chest, possibly English, covered with embossed gilded leather, containing 143 glass phials of pillules, a handwritten list of preparations, and a measuring scoop, possibly made of gold. One virtue of homeopathy to modern consumers is that, other than in the self-administered approach, it entails a lengthy consultation with the practitioner; something that is increasingly rare when you visit your general practitioner today.
