Photograph of a model of the proposed 27 inch aperture refracting telescope being constructed by Howard Grubb of Dublin, Ireland for the Imperial Observatory, Vienna in Austria. The model was photographed after display at the 1876 Loan exhibition that was held on the site of today's Science Museum at South Kensington, London in England. The telescope was the primary instrument at the new observatory in Vienna and was not completed and installed until 1878.
