Description

This class A3, number 65, 'Knight of Thistle' locomotive was built for the London and North Eastern Railway. It was used on the Flying Scotsman service - a non-stop journey of 392.7 miles, from London King's Cross to Edinburgh. The rolling stock is all of post- WWI design except for the three coach, or 'triplet', restaurant car set. Shown near the Scottish border.
