Colour lithograph, drawn and lithographed by J C Bourne, showing a steam locomotive crossing the River Thames at Maidenhead. This masonry arch bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1803-1859), and built in 1838. Maidenhead was on the Great Western Railway route for which Brunel undertook many of his principal engineering works. Printed by C F Cheffins.
