Reconstruction in the Lower Wellcome Gallery, Science Museum, London. Dr Bruce (1854-?) was a leading neurologist. Most of the electrical apparatus was made in Paris by the firm Gaiffe, and installed in his practice in Edinburgh between 1903-1909. The apparatus produced electrical currents of various kinds which were used either to discover nervous disorders or to treat them.
