This multi-standard UHF/VHF miniature television was made by the British inventor Sir Clive Sinclair (b 1940). It measures just 10.2cm x 15.2cm x 3.8 cm and incorporates a special 50 mm picture tube made by German manufacturer aeG-Telefunken. It was first put on the market in 1977 for £200 but, perhaps because of its expensive price tag, did not prove to be a great commercial success.
