Expedition 12 commander William S McArthur Jr (right) and cosmonaut Valery I. Tokarev (left) participate in a training session in the Quest Airlock mockup/trainer at Johnson Space Centre's Space Vehicle Mockup Facility. Veterans McArthur (54) and Tokarev (52) are wearing training versions of the Extravehicular Mobility Unit space suit. European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Reiter of Germany assisted the crewmembers. The mission left from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on 30 September 2005.
