'Sing-song at Fort Crosby, near Liverpool, last night...girls and boys in khaki are in the new £1,250 "get-together" hut, opened yesterday. There the soldiers in the camp met ATS girls of the fort for tea, games, concerts, and cinema shows. Cream cakes were served on tables with green and white covers.'
