According to a contemporary newspaper article: "..early heroes were Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath etc. Bands appearing tonight include Terraplain and Grand Prix. The audience is mostly male, 16-30, the girls are more interested in men than music. Riddle, 24, says 'I know lots of blokes who formed groups simply because it was a way to get sex...the girls are getting choosier now, and there are a lot of frustrated Heavy Metal guys about'. At 6ft 2in and 17 stone, Kevin is a menacing figure as he balances two giggling girls on either arm for a joke..."
