Wife of World Boxing Champion Jim Watt 'And shouting loudest of all was a pretty redhead who had sat through most of the fight with her fingers pressed tightly over her eyes. Margaret Watt is Jim's wife and his biggest fan. Only she can't bear to see him hurt. She says: "I go to every fight. It gives Jim that extra bit of confidence". Scottish boxer Jim Watt (b. 1948) lost his WBC world Lightweight title to Alexis Arguello in London. This proved to be his last fight and he retired with a record of 38 wins (27 by knockout) and 8 losses. Watt became lightweight champion in 1979 after fighting Alfredo Pitalua.
