Glen Hoddle with Cup Final merchandise in his shop in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. Hoddle (b 1957) played for England, Tottenham Hotspur and Monaco. He was a player/manager at Swindon, later taking over at Chelsea. He was appointed England manager in 1996 but after a controversial 'serious error of judgement' involving a comment about disabled people, Hoddle was sacked in 1999. He went on to manage Tottenham Hotspur and in 2003 he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
