Singing and dancing duo Hoddle (right) and England team-mate Chris Waddle recorded 'Diamond Lights' in 1987. The song reached number twelve in the charts. Hoddle (b 1957) played for England, Tottenham Hotspur and Monaco. He was a player/manager at Swindon, later taking over at Chelsea. He was appointed England manager in 1996, moved to Tottenham Hotspur and in 2003 he left to go to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Waddle (b 1960) played for England as well as for Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur, Marseille, Sheffield Wednesday, Falkirk, Bradford City, Sunderland and Burnley where he was manager. He was voted Footballer of the Year in 1993.
