Portrait of George Adolphus Storey (1834-1919) who studied at the art school run by J. M. Leigh and then entered the RA Schools in 1854, where he fell under the influence of the Pre-Raphaelites. He gained a reputation as a genre and portrait painter and illustrator. In 1900 he became the Professor of Perspective at the Royal Academy.
