Photograph by Frederick Henry Evans (1853-1943). St Bartholomew the Great was founded in 1123 and is the oldest parish church in the City of London. Features include the pre-Reformation octagonal font, a 13th century coffin and the 15th century monument to Rahere, a jester at the court of Henry I.
