The Prime Minister and Pat Seed with her autobiography, 'One Day at a Time'. Seed, a journalist, was diagnosed with cancer in the 1970s at a time when few hospitals in Britain had sophisticated diagnostic tools. The book describes her reaction to the discovery of her illness and her campaign to raise enough money to buy a CAT scanner for her local hospital. A CAT scan is a radiologic test, short for 'computerized tomography' 'or 'computed axial tomography'.
