Actor Cary Grant (1904-1986) was born Archibald Alexander Leach in Bristol, England. His successful Hollywood career spanned comedies, romances and suspense films. Some of the best-known are 'Bringing Up Baby' (1938), 'The Philadelphia Story' (1940), 'Arsenic and Old Lace' (1944), and 'North by Northwest' (1959). He received an honorary Oscar in 1969. Grant's fourth wife Dyan Cannon (born 1937) appeared in numerous films including 'Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice' (1969), 'Revenge of the Pink Panther' (1978), and 'Heaven Can Wait' (1978). She has also appeared in numerous television shows, and has produced, directed, written and edited.
