Platinum print photograph by Frederick Hollyer (1837-1933) of Scottish dramatist and novelist Sir James Matthew Barrie (1860-1937). In 1883, he began his writing career at the Nottingham Journal, soon emerging as a novelist and playwright. His most famous work is 'Peter Pan' (1904), a character based on the children in Barrie's life - and on himself.
