Platinum print photograph by Frederick Hollyer (1837-1933) of British photographer William England (1830-1896). In 1854, England started work as a photographer for the London Stereoscopic Company. He produced at least three magnificent series of photographs for them. The first was taken in the USA in 1859, the second in Paris in 1860 and 1861, and the third was of the 1862 International Exhibition. He left the London Stereoscopic Company in 1863.
