Platinum print photograph by Frederick Hollyer (1837-1933) of painter Albert Joseph Moore (1841-1893). Moore exhibited at the Royal Academy in London for many years. He specialised in neo-classical studies set in ancient Greece or Rome. An eccentric figure, he was a recluse, sharing his life with his pet daschund dog and an army of cats, which effectively took over his home.
