This company manufactured parrafin heaters, some of which can be seen here. The boxes are marked 'Not To Be Slung'. The depot was owned by the London, Midland & Scottish Railway, but was used by the Valor company. The depot is close to the railway to make it easy for goods to be moved from the warehouse onto railway wagons to be transported. Many depots and factories were built next to railway lines at the start of the 20th century for this reason.
