The Devon Belle, hauled by a Merchant Navy class 4-6-2 locomotive number 21 C 18 'British India Line' at Overton, Hampshire, by Maurice Earley. The Devon Belle ran from Ilfracombe to Waterloo, from 1947 to 1954. The train was a Pullman service and had an observation car at the back so that passengers could get a good view on the journey. Easy chairs were provided in the observation section.
