A Schools class 4-4-0 locomotive number 925 "Cheltenham" with a down express near Hook, Hampshire, by Godfrey Soole, about 1937. Schools class locomotives were designed in the 1930s by Richard Maunsell, to run on the line between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings. The line had many narrow tunnels, and locomotives were needed that would fit in the tunnels!
