Passenger train, hauled by a Coronation class 4-6-2 locomotive number 46227 "Duchess of Devonshire" at Shap, Cumbria, by Eric Treacy, 1958. Treacy loved taking holidays in the Lake District and Shap was one of his favourite locations to photograph locomotives. The line, which connects Euston and Glasgow, climbs up to over 300 metres at Shap.
