An A3 class 4-6-2 locomotive number 4472 "Flying Scotsman" and a P2 class 2-8-2 locomotive number 2001 "Cock o' the North", at Ilford Railway exhibition, Essex, by E R Wethersett, 2 June 1934. The locomotives pictured were built at Doncaster works. They were designed by Sir Nigel Gresley and were used on the London & North Eastern Railway. "Flying Scotsman" is one of the most well known steam locomotives. It was used to pull the "Flying Scotsman" train from London to Edinburgh.
