Train, pulled by electric locomotive number RU001 inside the Channel Tunnel, during its construction, by Chris Hogg, 1992. During the construction of the tunnel, many trains ran in and out of the tunnel, bringing spoil, workers and equipment in and out of the tunnel. The tunnel took 7 years to build and finally opened in 1995. It cost £2,700 million to build.
