Workers inside the Channel tunnel, during its construction, by Chris Hogg, 1992. This photograph was taken in the access tunnel, which links the two main tunnels. The Channel Tunnel opened in 1995, to create a rail link between London and Brussels and Paris, and connections to many other European cities. The tunnel took 7 years to build and cost £2,700 million.
