Spoil train RU 001 inside the Channel Tunnel, by Lynn Patrick, 6 June 1991. At this time the tunnel was being built. 20 pairs of these trains, pulled by electric locomotives, were used to carry spoil. The locomotives were built at the Hunslet company, in Leeds. One of the locomotives, RA36, is now on display at the National Railway Museum together with one of the spoil wagons.
