Outside St Pancras Station Hotel, London, by Chris Hogg, 7 January 1988. This hotel opened in 1873, designed by George Gilbert Scott. It is Gothic in style with very lavish interiors. Station hotels first opened for passengers that lived a long way from the train station and needed to break their journey. They were also for passengers whose trains left very early in the morning or who had to change trains.
