Freight train at Banavie on the West Highland line, by Chris Hogg, June 2000. The West Highland line carries passengers and freight between Glasgow and Mallaig. It was fully opened in 1901 and passes through spectacular scenery. It has always been well used by tourists visiting the North of Scotland.
