GL class locomotive number 2351 'Princess Alice' with a goods train leaving Stanger Station, by Patrick Ransome-Wallis. This Garratt locomotive was built in Manchester by Beyer, Peacock and Co. Garratts were articulated, so that they could travel around tight corners, despite their large size. Many were built for narrow gauge railways.
