4-8-4 + 4-8-4 Garratt locomotive number 6009 pulling a freight train, by Patrick Ransome-Wallis. This locomotive was designed in Britain by Beyer, Peacock and Co. Most Garratt locomotives were manufactured in Manchester. They were articulated, so that they could travel around tight corners, despite their large size. Many were built for narrow gauge railways.
