4-2-2 locomotive number 3021 "Wigmore Castle", with its driver and fireman, about 1870. This Broad Gauge locomotive was owned by the Great Western Railway. However, at this time the GWR were starting to convert to use both standard and broad gauge trains at this time, as it was difficult for standard gauge trains to connect to the GWR. Broad gauge trains were scrapped in favour of standard gauge trains in 1892.
