Railway accident at Penistone Viaduct, South Yorkshire, 1916.

Derailed locomotive under Penistone Viaduct on the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway, 2 February 1916. This accident was caused because part of the viaduct had collapsed when heavy rain weakened the foundations. The driver and fireman of this freight locomotive jumped clear and survived the crash.
